Achieving discipline in an agile environment (online)

How do you achieve discipline in an agile project environment? What do you need to consider when taking the first steps towards and agile environment?

Many organisations are doing their first steps within the World of Agile. These first steps usually include testing the waters by delivering a number of pilots in an agile fashion. Usually the Scrum framework or other scaled format of Scrum is applied, when talking about larger projects / developments. The following questions come as a natural:

• How will we bring discipline in a World of potential anarchy?
• How will we maintain our Governance, Risk and Compliance functions, if we are supposed to be in an agile world and are still part of a traditional organisation?

Simon Wieczorek is a Senior Manager at PwC Germany and has more than 7 years experience in the field of Agile. He is leading the German PwC Agile & DevOps Team in Risk Assurance and was part of several national and international agile IT projects and transformations in the industry sector. He is certified as PMI-Project Management Professional, PRINCE2, Professional Scrum Master and SAFe 4 Agilist.
