A Swiss project management method

The Swiss project management method HERMES is a mandatory standard for a majority of projects in the Swiss public administration at all levels: Confederation, cantons, and cities.

Serge Schiltz, President of the association “eco-HERMES” representing the HERMES user community in Switzerland and abroad, will give a brief overview of the method as well as its certification scheme.

HERMES is by no means another standard or framework competing with the PMBOK, but rather a practical guide to managing small and medium-sized projects. In fact, it is a ready-to-use toolbox, which you are welcome to use in any project … for free.

A HERMES certification at the “Foundation” or “Advanced” level is a qualification that you must add to your PMP (or other project management certificate) if you want to apply for a project management position or mandate in the Swiss public sector.
